The Hair Hut, The Greatful Cup and the Vulcan County Health and Wellness Foundation are collaborating to bring you a unique opportunity to nominate a deserving woman in your life to a full day of Self Care. Nominations can be made at the Hair Hut, The Greatful Cup, and the Foundation Office.

Sandy, the proprietor of Quarks Consignment and Books, has come up with an original way for you to get unwanted items out of your house and make a donation to the Vulcan County Health and Wellness Foundation at the same time.

Here is how it works:

1. Take your item(s) to Quarks Consignment and Books located at 218 First Street North in Vulcan (in the same building as Armando Russian Repairs Ltd.)

2. Once Sandy has accepted your item, just let her know that you would like the proceeds from the sale of the item(s) to be donated to the VCH&WF.

3. Once the item(s) sells, Sandy will deduct a commission from the sale. Then you can decide if you want Sandy to donate the proceeds directly to the Foundation or, if you prefer, you can take the cash from the sale and make the donation yourself.

Please Note: If you want a tax receipt for your donation, you must drop the cash/cheque off at the Foundation’s Office located in the Rainbow Literacy Building (110 1st Ave S). Or, you can mail the cheque payable to the Vulcan County Health and Wellness Foundation (Box 28, Vulcan, AB T0L 2B0).
