2022 Pledge Drive
Over the last 10 years we have been able to make a great impact on the quality of health care in Vulcan County thanks to generous donors like yourself. With funds raised we were able to fund these projects and purchases:
• Expansion of the Health Care Centre
• Award 38 bursaries to local health care workers
• Create space for Community Wellness programs
• 7 AutoPulse machines for first responders throughout Vulcan County
• A Rescusi Annie for training
Thanks to there success of this past summer’s 24 Hour Golf Challenge and Charity Golf Classic we were able to purchase Buzzy Be units for the Lab, Emerg, Acute Care and Public Health. These units are used to help block sharp pain and provides distraction when giving injections or other medical procedures.
Additionally, we were able to purchase two Transport chairs for Physio and Diagnostic Imaging to transport patients easily & safely.
AS we look to the future of health care in Vulcan County, we know there are many opportunities to bring about better health and wellness outcomes for our citizens. These are initiatives we continue to work towards, and hope to facilitate through continuous fundraising efforts.
• Enhancing Health Care Facilities
• Wellness Programs
• Education
The ADP space has been helpful in keeping up with the constant changes that we continue to experience during the current pandemic. Home Care has also been able to utilize the space in between it being used for Public Health COVID Clinics, Long Term Care client socially distanced luncheons, meetings and many other things. One of the aspects of Home Care has been able to do with the space, is hold socially distanced education sessions.
With the help of all our donors, we were able to purchase 7 AutoPulse* Resuscitation Systems to improve the lives of all our residents. This amazing medical system provides high-quality circumferential chest compressions without interruptions. First responders from firehall within the County of Vulcan were all able to train on how to use the AutoPulse*.
I am home again! Words cannot express my gratitude! It has been a challenging 8 months of not being in clinical space. I have been given permission to use Room 1317 fo office space, and Exam Room 1335 to see patients. The two sites I work out of are, Vulcan and Okotoks. The majority of my referrals are from the Vulcan Medical Clinic. The office and exam rooms are lovely and I am most appreciative.
