Why Donate
The Vulcan County Health & Wellness Foundation (VCH&WF) has three primary goals:
• To provide the resources to support the Vulcan Community Health Centre.
– Keeping our Vulcan Community Health Centre viable and sustainable is one of our top priorities.
– Every dollar donated to the VCH&WF stays in Vulcan County and will be used to provide the highest quality of health care possible to all citizens living in the county.
• To develop, promote, and deliver health and wellness programs that service all residents of Vulcan County.
• To provide bursaries to Healthcare Workers. in our community, members of Vulcan County Emergency Services, and Vulcan Regional Victims Services, for continued education and/or take coursed in specialized areas.

The Foundation uses Canada Helps as a portal that provides easy to use credit card, Interac® Online or PayPal™ account services. Canada Helps issues you the tax receipt and the Foundation gets your donated dollars back less 3.6% for their fee of processing.
Through Canada Helps you can donate your securities or mutual fund shares; this allows our Foundation to take such donations and simplifies the process.
If you are thinking of an easy way to give your kids or grandkids a gift that will better your very own Community, Canada Helps offer such a service. Just go online, choose your fund, choose your amount and put the contact information in for the recipients.

Vulcan County Health & Wellness Foundation Donor’s Privacy Statement
The Vulcan County Health & Wellness Foundation is committed to your privacy. This Privacy Statement describes the practices employed by the Foundation relating to information provided to us that personally identifies you (personal information). We are committed to following the best practices of Alberta’s “Personal Information Protection Act” (PIPA).
Use of Personal Information
We do not sell, rent, share or loan the personal or financial information that you provide to us. Personal Information in the form of contact and financial information provided through response forms or donations is used by the Foundation to process donations, administer fundraising events and tickets, and to provide receipts. We also use this information to keep you informed of the Foundation’s activities and funding needs through mail-out campaigns, reports, and newsletters. Contact information is also used to contact you if there are service issues or questions. If you choose, you may opt-out of receiving future communications from the Foundation. All other Personal Information provided by you is only used for the purpose of supplying you with the service you have requested or for which you have given your consent.
Opting out
We will cease any mail or e-mail communications with you if you so desire. Simply contact the Foundation office at (403) 485-4001 or send us an email at vchw.foundation@gmail.com and all communications will be suspended.
Disclosure of Personal Information
The Foundation does not disclose any of your personal information without your consent. In the case of memorial donations, many grieving families want to be able to send a thankyou note to the donors who remembered their loved one. Only with your consent will we notify the family of your remembrance and contact information – the dollar value of your donation is NOT shared.
We process credit card donations with three reputable credit card services – ATB Cares, Canada Helps, Connect First Credit Union, and Donor Perfect. Data Retention
We only retain Personal Information for as long as reasonably required for legal or business purposes. Paper records are kept under lock and key. And all of our digital assets and backups are updated regularly with cyber virus protection.
Privacy Statement
Any changes to this Privacy Statement will be posted on our website (vchwfoundation.com) and in our main office at the Vulcan Community Health Centre. We are always happy to provide you with the updated information – if requested.
